On the hunt for a fresh pair of glasses, we made the new Warby Parker Frame Studio in Lincoln Park an afternoon excursion.
After a brief stop at this cozy lunch fixture on Armitage Avenue, we entered the happy and minimal space where small groups of people were crowded around mirrors testing out sunglasses and frames. It was a very chummy scene, with a photographer snapping pictures of anyone who came to pose. Apart from the gorgeous eyeglass designs and the nice price point, buying from Warby Parker makes you feel good: for every pair purchased, a pair goes to someone in need. And don’t be afraid to bring your little ones. A small combo-TV-VHS player shows classic movies in the back, which kept Orlagh and Iris entertained so Tim and I could check things out in peace. Very fun and retro. Worth a visit, or at least a holiday photo-op.
